Knowing the weather IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT
FACTOR IN SAFE DECISION
MAKING, RISK MANAGEMENT, AND THEREFORE SAFE BOATING! If you don't know how to predict
your boating area's local marine weather, and the location you are traveling
to (i.e. Boston to Martha's Vineyard for example) YOU WILL COMPROMISE your
safety, as well as the safety of your passengers!
Consult as many weather services as you can before you sail as part of your pre-trip preparation.

Applying the information gained from these services and knowing how the
forecast will affect your boating area is crucial for safe boating!
